Am I Obese?
How is Obesity measured?
The BMI (Body Mass Index) is a statistical measure of the weight of a person according to their height. The calculation provides a numerical value which gives a reliable indication of a persons body fatness. This value can then be compared to that of the whole population in order to quantify obesity.

What are the limitations of this statistical test?
The test does not account for the distribution of muscle, and bone mass. Therefore the test may give an over estimate for someone who has a lean body, and is relatively athletic. The test may also give an under estimate for someone who is elderly, and has lost muscle mass.

My motivation was watching music videos on mtv, and seeing models in magazines.. and just thinking “why can’t I look like that?” For me, that was all it took. I didnt wana stay like this for the rest of my life, and I wanted women to find me attractive.. and not be just another average looking guy with not much to say. Weight loss was all I wanted. I never used to think about the junk food/possible health risks I was digesting in my stomach, with dieting I have changed my perception of food for ever, and as a result I now lead a much healthier lifestyle.
